Brooksville’s bar scene runs old-school: Sail Inn on Broad Street has been a fixture long enough to have its regulars down to a routine — pool, darts, karaoke, open daily until 2 a.m. Red Mule Pub has been locally owned since 1977, and even a 2025 fire in its South Plaza building didn’t end it — owner Kasey Thieryung has confirmed plans to reopen. The Wheel-In leans into live music and outdoor pole-barn seating rather than a straight dive-bar setup.
Spring Hill’s options spread out more: Jerseys Hometown Tavern has run 18-plus years as a full sports bar with 24 drafts on tap, Aqua Bar & Grill keeps the same 8 a.m.–2 a.m. hours as Sail Inn but with a fuller food menu, and Weeki Pub sits close enough to Weeki Wachee Springs to catch the tourist crowd alongside its regulars. Horse & Crown Pub shows up in local nightlife roundups as one of the area’s more established sports-bar-and-drink-specials spots.
None of these are trying to be a destination bar — they’re neighborhood spots that have stuck around, which in a county this size is its own kind of recommendation.
