Lisa Kay & The Gold Top Band Play The Lazy Lizard’s Waterfront Stage This Saturday

The Lazy Lizard’s waterfront deck on Shoal Line Boulevard is where Hernando Beach actually goes for live music, and this Saturday it’s Lisa Kay & The Gold Top Band’s turn on the stage.

The show runs Saturday, Oct. 17, 6-10 p.m. The band’s billed as one of the stronger working live acts around Tampa Bay — not a cover band phoning it in, but a full band built around musicianship and energy rather than background noise for drinks.

It’s also one of four things happening in the county that same Saturday — the Running of the Wieners, Barks & Bargains, and the Downtown Street Market’s chili cook-off all land on Oct. 17 too, so the evening slot at The Lazy Lizard is really the nightcap option for anyone who spent the day at one of the others rather than a full day out on its own.

The Lazy Lizard books live music regularly enough that it’s become the county’s go-to for it rather than an occasional thing — here’s where else to actually catch it in Hernando County on nights this one’s dark. If you’ve never made the trip out to Hernando Beach itself, the area’s own guide covers the rest of what’s worth knowing about the Gulf-access side of the county, and Tropical Grille is the other waterfront option a short drive over.
