Spring Hill TOY JAM Fills the VFW Hall With Collectors This Sunday

Toys, comics, action figures, and trading cards take over the VFW hall this Sunday — Pokemon and Transformers tables next to Star Wars and sports cards, run by actual collectors rather than a big-box vendor show.

Spring Hill TOY JAM runs Sunday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at VFW Post 8681. It’s a select group of vendors across toy and card categories rather than a sprawling flea-market-style event — video games, non-sports cards, and collectibles fill the hall alongside the action figures.

This one’s run roughly monthly rather than as a single annual show — there was a TOY JAM at the same hall in September, so collectors who miss this Sunday’s edition likely won’t wait long for the next.

VFW Post 8681 is the David G. Snyder Memorial Post, chartered in 1979 — it’s the charter organization for a local Boy Scout troop and holds its own member meetings the second Monday of each month, well beyond whatever weekend shows use its hall.

If VFW 8681 isn’t a spot you’d normally end up at, Spring Hill’s own guide covers the rest of the county’s biggest town, and for days when the weather doesn’t cooperate, here are the other fully-indoor options in Hernando County.
