Lead Foot City, the drag strip and automotive theme park off Old Ayers Road in Brooksville, runs its Floor It Friday test-and-tune nights on a recurring basis through the fall — not a one-off event, but a standing weekly date for anyone who wants track time or just wants to watch.
The format is informal by design: a drag racing test-and-tune session open to regular cars and trucks, not just purpose-built race vehicles, plus burnouts and a broader car/truck/bike meet-up with music running through the evening. It’s as much a hangout for the local car scene as it is a competitive event.
Because it runs most Fridays rather than on a single fixed date, the specific night listed on this calendar is one representative evening — Lead Foot City runs the series on a rolling basis, so it’s worth checking leadfootcity.com or calling ahead if you’re planning around a specific week, since not every Friday is guaranteed to run.
