Barks & Bargains Turns the Airport Flea Market Pet-Friendly This Saturday

Bring the dog to the flea market this Saturday — the Airport Farmers & Flea Market is making it the theme, not just tolerating it.

Barks & Bargains runs Saturday, Oct. 17, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Airport Farmers & Flea Market’s usual Spring Hill Drive location — a 19-acre property that runs up to 400 booths at peak season, already one of the bigger flea markets on this side of the state. The market is pet-friendly year-round; this Saturday just puts that front and center.

Admission is free, same as every regular Saturday and Sunday the market runs (8 a.m.-3 p.m. both days). Beyond the booths, the market’s own vendor mix includes a hair salon, decal and embroidery work, a tattoo shop, and food stalls running everything from boiled peanuts to kettle corn — enough of an actual destination that it’s not just a produce stop.

If the flea market’s more your pace than a festival with a schedule, it runs every weekend regardless of what else is on the calendar that Saturday — including whatever’s happening downtown in Brooksville the same day.

Good to know: Airport Farmers & Flea Market, 17375 Spring Hill Dr., Brooksville. Saturday, Oct. 17, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Free admission; open every Saturday and Sunday.
