A Candlelight Tribute to Fleetwood Mac Lights Up a Spring Hill Church

The traveling Candlelight concert series — known for staging acoustic tribute shows lit almost entirely by candles inside churches, theaters, and other atmospheric rooms across the country — stops at Mariner United Methodist Church in Spring Hill this November with a tribute to Fleetwood Mac.

The format is consistent across the series’ stops nationally: a string ensemble or small live band reworks a catalog of hits into a seated, acoustic set, performed in a room lit by candlelight rather than stage lighting. For a Fleetwood Mac tribute, that means a set built around songs like “Dreams,” “Landslide,” and “The Chain,” reimagined for a quieter, more intimate room than the originals were ever played in.

Mariner United Methodist Church gives the show a setting most concertgoers in Hernando County won’t have experienced before — a church sanctuary rather than a bar, bandshell, or amphitheater, which fits the stripped-down nature of the music. It’s a late start by local standards, with the show beginning at 8:45pm, so it reads more as a date-night show than a family outing.

Good to know: Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd, Spring Hill, FL 34609. Friday, Nov. 20, 2026, 8:45pm. Tickets through the Candlelight concert series.
