Wednesday Addams falls for a boy from a normal family, and Stage West’s cast has to make that collide with the rest of the Addams household without losing the jokes along the way.
Stage West Community Playhouse runs The Addams Family this Friday through Sunday, Oct. 16-18, and again Oct. 23-25 — six performances across two weekends at the Spring Hill theater that’s already built a track record with its own New Works Festival and recurring comedy series. It’s a full musical staging, not a stripped-down community-theater version: the show leans on the household’s usual chaos (Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester and the rest) once Wednesday’s engagement forces the family to try, briefly, to act normal for one dinner.
Stage West hasn’t posted exact nightly showtimes or ticket prices on its event page as of this writing — tickets go through Ticketleap, and the box office (352-683-5113) keeps hours Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., for anyone who’d rather call.
Spring Hill’s the county’s biggest town for a reason beyond the theater — here’s how it got there — and if comedy’s more your speed than musical theater, Stage West’s New Works Festival and stand-up nights run through the same box office.
Good to know: Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd, Spring Hill. Oct. 16-18 and Oct. 23-25. Tickets via Ticketleap or by calling the box office for current pricing and showtimes.
